A man has been charged after a dramatic chase in a stolen car across the Gold Coast.
Police spotted a stolen grey Honda HR-V on Napper Rd in Arundel around 7.40pm on Saturday.
The Honda had been reported stolen from an address on Musgrave Avenue on November 3.
Police tracked the vehicle with the assistance of POLAIR as it travelled southbound along the M1 towards Coolangatta.
Tyre spikes were deployed before the Honda came to a stop on Griffith St.
The male driver then fled on foot but was tracked down on Boundary St a short time later and taken into custody.
The 37-year-old Surfers Paradise man has since been charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a vehicle and driving without a driver licence.
He is scheduled to appear in Southport Magistrates Court on Monday.
