Docked boat destroyed by fire on the Gold Coast

A fire has destroyed a boat docked at Runaway Bay.

Emergency crews were called to Limetree Parade around 9pm last night, 28 May after a white 1990 Bayliner Sunbridge full cabin fibreglass boat caught alight.

Two fire crews were able to quickly douse the flames and get it under control, but the 8.7m vessel was destroyed.

Another vessel moored nearby, a white 2007 Bayliner Sunbridge full cabin fibreglass boat, also sustained some damage.

The fire is not being treated as suspicious and early indications are it started from an electrical fault.

No one was on board at the time of the fire, and no one was injured in the incident.
