A man has been charged over a terrifying armed robbery in Logan.
The 24-year-old is accused of assaulting a 48-year-old man whilst he was in his vehicle in a car park on Boundary Street at Beenleigh last Thursday.
Police say the offender then stolen the man’s car keys and cash before fleeing the scene.
The victim was transported to Logan Hospital for treatment of a minor injury.
The man was tracked down nearby a short time later where officers allegedly found him with a knife and a quantity of ammunition.
He was arrested and has since been charged with one count each of armed robbery, assault occasioning bodily harm, wilful damage, attempted enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence, possession of a knife in a public place, and authority to possess explosives.
The man was remanded in custody to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on 21 October.
