Motorcyclist killed in horror collision in the Scenic Rim

A motorcyclist has died following a crash with a ute in the Scenic Rim.

Emergency crews were called to Beaudesert Beenleigh Road in Birnam around 12.53pm Sunday, after a Harley-Davidson motorcycle collided with a Ford Falcon utility.

The motorbike rider, a 61-year-old Beaudesert man, suffered life-threatening injuries and died at the scene.

The driver of the ute, a 22-year-old Wonglepong man, was transported to Logan Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit has launched an investigation.
