Get your boots and hats ready because the Groundwater Country Music Festival (CMF) is back and bigger than ever, celebrating a decade of incredible country music on the Gold Coast this weekend.

Kicking off this Friday, Broadbeach will host music enthusiasts for a three-day extravaganza featuring over 50 talented artists spread across 15 electrifying stages and venues.

And here’s the kicker – entry is absolutely FREE!

Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate said he was delighted to host the festival once again.

“For ten years, we’ve been the proud hosts of this award-winning festival,” The Mayor said.

“Each year, it brings an exceptional lineup of talent and a unique experience.

“Expect tens of thousands of country music fans donning their Akubras and dancing from day to night,” he said.

Here’s a glimpse of what to expect from this years’ Groundwater CMF:

The festival kicks off on Friday with a bang, featuring headline act Casey Barnes, who’s been on fire after winning an ARIA Award for Best Country Album in 2022 and securing two Golden Guitars this year.

Joining him is the new country trio Rhinestoned, led by Australian country music legend Kirsty Lee Akers.

Saturday promises an international flair, with Jackson Dean capturing hearts with his soulful voice at the Surf Parade Stage, and the 10-time Grammy-winning supergroup Asleep at the Wheel making their much-anticipated Australian debut at The Kurrawa Big Top.

But that’s not all – The Wolfe Brothers, electrifying six-time Golden Guitar winners, will also grace the stage.

The festivities will continue with Australian country music icons Adam Harvey & Beccy Cole, who will be performing their beloved Great Country Songbook show.

A thrilling addition to this year’s program is the KIX Live at Groundwater ‘Songwriters’ event, which will showcase prominent artists from the festival lineup.

Sunday will conclude on a high note, with country icons Lee Kernaghan and Amber Lawrence headlining the Surf Parade stage.

While music takes center stage, there’s more to enjoy with the return of Groundwater CMF’s Country Fair and markets over the three days.

The whole family will find something to love, including the Cornhole Arena and The Big Slide.

The full program can be accessed via the official Groundwater CMF app, or via the website here.
