Police have declared a crime scene at a shop in Brisbane’s Acacia Ridge after it was destroyed by fire early this morning.

Officers were called to the building along Elizabeth Street around 1.30am and found the shop well alight.

They managed to extinguished the blaze, but the building is believed to have been badly damaged.

Investigators are now appealing for anyone who may have CCTV footage or may have been driving in the area at the time and have relevant dash-camera footage to come forward.

Detectives have confirmed the shop will remain a crime scene until fire investigators begin examining the scene this morning.

Investigations are ongoing.
