A man has been charged with attempted murder following an alleged stabbing attack on police in Brisbane.
Officers were initially called to Bogong Street at Hemmant around 5.10am on Sunday following reports of a disturbance between two men.
Upon arrival, police attempted to engage with the men before one of them, a 35-year-old man, struck a male constable in the neck with a knife and assaulted a male senior constable, before fleeing the area.
First aid was immediately provided to the male constable before he was rushed to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition.
Following patrols of the area, police located the wanted man outside a business where he was taken into custody.
He has since been charged with two counts of attempted murder and is due to appear in court today.
