LATEST @ 11.45am A swimmer has been hospitalised following a near-drowning in Main Beach this morning.
The woman, reportedly in her 20s, was swimming off Muriel Henchman Drive at The Spit just before 11am when she “took on water”.
Paramedics assessed her at the scene, with a QAS spokesperson confirming she was conscious and breathing.
She’s now been transported to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
EARLIER @ 11.30pm Emergency Services are currently on-scene of a near-drowning in Main Beach.
