Crime scene declared after injured man found lying on busy Gold Coast road

A crime scene has been declared in Broadbeach Waters following the discovery of an injured man.

The man was found lying on the road at the corner of Bermuda Steet and Hooker Boulevard around 6.10am.

A Queensland Police spokesperson confirmed the man was found with a head and arm injury.

He was treated at the scene before being rushed to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.

Investigations into the circumstances around how the man sustained the injuries are ongoing.
