A teenage boy is due to front court today after allegedly stabbing another boy at a Brisbane school, leaving him with life-threatening injuries.
Emergency services were called to the Islamic College of Brisbane in Karawatha around 11.45am on Tuesday following reports of an altercation between two students.
Police will allege a 16-year-old boy stabbed a 17-year-old boy known to him with a small knife before fleeing the scene on foot.
The 17-year-old was treated at the scene by paramedics before being rushed to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment.
The 16-year-old was found hiding in a vehicle on Gowan Road at Stretton and arrested.
He’s since been charged with one count each of acts intended to maim / disfigure / disable and unlawful possession of weapons category M.
The boy will appear in Richlands Children’s Court today.
