An 11-year-old is among three boys who have been charged over a shocking assault in Logan.

Police allege the juveniles set upon a 14-year-old boy on Juers Street at Kingston around 9am last Friday, leaving him in hospital with serious facial and head injuries.

Detectives from the Logan District Child Protection and Investigation Unit launched an investigation into the attack and have since charged an 11-year-old Woodridge boy with 12 offences.

They include eight counts of assault occasioning bodily harm and one count of grievous bodily harm, as well as other offences.

The boy was dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.

A 14-year-old Woodridge boy and a 17-year-old Logan Central boy were also both charged with 11 offences, including eight counts of assault occasioning bodily harm and one count each of grievous bodily harm whilst armed/in company, as well as other offences.

Both were dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.
