LATEST @ 9 AM | A man has died after being hit by a truck on the Pacific Motorway.
The man was struck southbound near Exit 49 at Pimpama around 7.30am on Tuesday.
He was treated by paramedics for critical injuries, but was declared deceased at the scene.
All southbound lanes remain closed, with motorists urged to avoid the area.
EARLIER @ 7.45 AM | Traffic has been thrown into chaos on the Pacific Motorway this morning after a pedestrian was hit by a truck.
The crash occurred southbound at Pimpama around 7.30am, with multiple emergency crews rushing to the scene.
Police have confirmed all southbound lanes have now been closed.
Long delays are expected, with police urging motorists to avoid the area.
