Dust off your favorite cowboy boots and grab your Akubra, because Australia’s ultimate country music beach party is scooting back into the Gold Coast.
The Groundwater Country Music Festival has dropped a massive, star-studded lineup for its return from Friday 16 to Sunday 18 October.
Transforming the sun-drenched Broadbeach precinct into a vibrant country haven, the free three-day spectacular promises an unforgettable celebration of live music, line dancing, and coastal vibes right by the shoreline.
Leading the charge for this year’s event is none other than Australian country music royalty Kasey Chambers, who will be bringing her full band to rock the main stage.
Chambers, who boasts 13 ARIA Awards and 17 Golden Guitars, expressed her excitement about returning to one of her favorite festivals.
“Always happy to be playing back at one of my favourite music festivals in Australia – Groundwater!” Chambers said.
“I’ll be bringing my full band and playing a bunch of my old songs in my set as well as a few new ones and favourite covers.
“Looking forward to seeing that street fill up with all you music lovers”.
Joining her is New Zealand’s contemporary country-pop powerhouse Kaylee Bell, fresh off stadium tours with Ed Sheeran and hitting a massive milestone of over 100 million global streams.
The incredible variety of talent doesn’t stop there, with local crowd favorites The Wolfe Brothers, Beccy Cole, James Blundell, and rising star Lane Pittman also locked in to perform.
Festival Director Mark Duckworth said this year’s lineup showcases the incredible breadth of country music, from household names and international artists to exciting emerging talent.
“We continue to be inspired by the rise of country music in Australia and to be able to present Groundwater Country Music Festival in such a uniquely Gold Coast setting is such a highlight,” Duckworth said.
“The line up brings together everything from current pop country and Americana to bluegrass, folk, and traditional honky tonk and even a little Outlaw.
Completely free and family-friendly, the Gold Coast festival allows fans to wander from open-air stages and beachside bars to major headlining acts under the stars, all just steps away from the golden sand.
