A gang of machete-wielding teens remain on the run following a brazen three-night crime spree across the Gold Coast and Logan.

They’re accused of first stealing a BMW from a home on the Gold Coast over the weekend, before posting about their escapades online.

The group then allegedly attempted to break into a number of homes, before stealing several other vehicles.

One of those was a ute, which was used to ram-raid a Logan tobacco store.

“Police eventually located that vehicle in Kingston later on that morning, and the vehicle was burnt out,” Chief Superintendent Craig Hanlon said.

“We’ve been told up to six people may have been involved, we don’t know the ages of them, but they appear to be teenagers”.

Police believe they know who those involved are and are confident arrests should be imminent.
