A man has been charged over an alleged stolen car chase from Logan to the Gold Coast.
The 31-year-old is accused of stealing a blue 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander station wagon from a home in Loganlea sometime between 2am and 3am on Tuesday.
The vehicle was then sighted at Arundel around 3.30pm that afternoon, sparking a police pursuit.
A tyre deflation device was successfully deployed around 3.50pm, forcing the man to abandon the car on Wardley Drive.
He then fled the scene on foot but was taken into custody nearby a short time later.
The Ipswich man has since been charged with two counts of possess tainted property and one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, obstruct police officer and possess property suspected of having been used in connection with the commission of a drug offence.
He is due to appear at the Southport Magistrates Court today.
