A man has been charged, and a second is on the run after a crime spree across the Gold Coast.
Police were called to Boogaerdt Rise in Bonogin around 1.25am on Monday following reports of two suspicious vehicles in the area.
When officers arrived, they spotted a 2005 blue Suzuki Swift, however, it fled the scene.
The driver dumped the vehicle on Tolga Rd and fled on foot into nearby bushland, but he was quickly rounded up by officers from the dog squad.
Investigations have revealed the Suzuzi was stolen from a property on Holterman Court in Mudgeeraba.
Officers also discovered that two other vehicles at that address had also been broken into, along with a third vehicle nearby.
The 23-year-old Mermaid Beach man has since been charged with four counts of enter premises and one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
He is expected to front Southport Magistrates Court on May 28.
Investigations to locate the second vehicle and driver are continuing.
