Thousands of Gold Coasters will honour Australia’s servicemen and women for Anzac Day 2026.

Every RSL sub-branch on the Gold Coast is hosting events on Saturday, April 25.

Up to 50,000 people are expected to attend the cities largest service at Currumbin’s Elephant Rock.

RSL Gold Coast District President Patrick Fairon has told myGC it’s always a big occasion.

“Currumbin is always popular, it’s just about become a tourist attract. We don’t see the numbers shrinking there at all,” Mr Fairon says.

“More traditional services will still get anything up to 3-5,000; Southport for instance, which is the central hub, we would expect anywhere up to 20,00o people.

“These events provide an opportunity for the local communities to come together to honour the courage, sacrifice and mateship of all who have served our nation,

“In my case, I’m a Vietnam war veteran and it’s not just confined these days to the first and second World War, it’s all those who have served in war zones around the world, and we will be thinking this year of those who are currently serving in the Middle East and we’re wishing them all the best as well”

  • Mid-Morning March: 10:55 AM, assembly at 10:35 AM at Winders Park, Duringan Street.
  • Mid-Morning Service: Follows the mid-morning march at the Currumbin RSL Cenotaph.

Mudgeeraba
