Worker escapes serious injury after ute crashes into Logan servo

Police are investigating a destructive crash at a petrol station in Logan overnight.

Emergency crews were called to the servo at the intersection of Barklya Place and Chambers Flat Road in Waterford West around 6pm.

Upon arrival, they found a ute had crashed into the front of the store.

A female worker in the store at the time of the crash managed to escape with minor injuries, while the driver was unhurt.

It’s believed the motorist, a man in his 70s, may have had a pedal mishap.
