Three boys have been charged over the alleged assault and robbery of a ride-share driver in Labrador.
The youths allegedly entered the Toyota Corolla along Marine Parade around 1am on July 21 and forced the 26-year-old driver out before chasing him on foot.
He was then allegedly assaulted before the males stole his mobile phone and vehicle, with the victim taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The teens didn’t get far, with the stolen vehicle found on nearby Bath Street a short time later.
Following investigations, police arrested a 16-year-old Nerang boy and 14-year-old Labrador boy earlier this month.
Both were charged with one count each of robbery in company using personal violence and enter premises and commit indictable offence.
A 15-year-old Parkwood boy was also taken into custody yesterday and charged with one count each of robbery in company using personal violence and enter premises and commit indictable offence.
He is due to appear at the Southport Children’s Court tomorrow.
