Sunshine Ford is rallying Gold Coasters for a massive community push, joining forces with thousands of dealerships worldwide for the annual Ford Global Food Drive.
As part of Ford’s Global Caring Month, more than 5,000 participating dealers globally are aiming to collect 100 kilograms of non-perishable food each, driving toward an incredible combined target of 500,000 kilograms for local food pantries and charities.
Locally, Sunshine Ford has partnered with Havafeed Relief, a trusted charity operated for over 30 years by Reverend Robyn and Reverend Dr Lindsay Burch that has fed more than one million people in need.
To kick off the campaign, the eye-catching Havafeed Ford Ranger Raptor is parked near The Kitchens at Robina Town Centre through Sunday, August 23, inviting shoppers to help “Fill a Ford” with everyday essentials and non-perishables.

Gold Coast locals can also drop off donations from now until the end of September at the Sunshine Ford dealership located at 292 Southport Nerang Road, Southport.
Dealer Principal Peter O’Brien emphasised that every tin and packet adds up, noting the pride the team takes in supporting local families, pensioners, people experiencing homelessness, and domestic violence survivors.
“We’re incredibly proud to be part of a global Ford initiative that can make a very real difference right here in our own community,” he said.
“Every tin, packet and donation adds up, and we’d love to see the Gold Coast get behind HAVAFEED and help us fill the Ford Havafeed Ranger Raptor.”
Tania Meli, Executive General Manager of Frizelle Sunshine Automotive, highlighted the community spirit that defines the region, encouraging local families and businesses to chip in.
“The Gold Coast has always been a community that looks after its own,” Ms Meli said.
“This is a simple way for families, businesses and individuals to make a meaningful contribution.”
